Primarily, the Richmond office handles community support for Tumblr users. One of its main responsibilities is that it handles the platform’s foreign language needs.“We’re also supporting 10 different languages here in Richmond so they can provide support to Tumblr users, and seven (employees) are native speakers,” LaFountain said.
Extremely proud of the international team Tumblr has built up over the past two years. Offering native foreign-language customer support is by no means a given in our sector and the fact that we decided to pursue this unique path has contributed a significant amount of added value to the overall Tumblr experience for users around the globe.
